Anyone Can Make a Difference: Eating Disorder Awareness Week

Eating disorders don’t discriminate—they can affect anyone, anywhere, regardless of gender, age, or background. This Eating Disorder Awareness Week, we’re calling on YOU to take action because AnyOne Can Make a Difference.

Get Involved

Whether you’re a parent, friend, partner, colleague, or personally affected by an eating disorder, you can play a vital role in raising awareness and supporting First Steps ED.

How? It’s up to you!

Here are some ideas:

  • Host a coffee morning or book swap at work
  • Take on a fitness challenge with friends
  • Get creative with a community event

AnyOne Can take part, and EveryOne can make a difference.

Why It Matters

It’s estimated that at least 1.25 million people in the UK are living with an eating disorder—that’s at least 1 in 50 people. But too often, the signs go unnoticed, delaying treatment and recovery.

By getting involved, you’re helping to change this. With more awareness and early intervention, we can make sure those affected get the support they need, when they need it.
