A Parent’s Guide to ARFID
Many parents may struggle when it comes to mealtimes. It is common for families to experience doubt and worry around picky eating, behavioural issues, and variety of foods their child or children is able to try. When supporting a young people who struggles with ARFID, the challenges and difficulties around mealtimes can become overwhelming, which is why understanding the condition, the signs and symptoms and treatment options available can be crucial for parents and caregivers.
Our team and those with lived experience have co-produced our new ‘Parent’s Guide to ARFID’ to promote early intervention and effective treatment for sufferers. It provides readers with information about ARFID, as well as a walk-through our one-to-one support and how the skills learn in these sessions can be used at home.
