Team Be More Pacific to row 2,800 miles for First Steps ED
In 2023, 38 teams set out to row across The Atlantic Ocean in The Worlds Toughest Row. Skipper, Robyn Harvey, wanted to do something a bit more unusual and set about recruiting a team to row The Worlds Toughest Row Pacific – Monterey to Hawaii – in June 2025. And they have chosen First Steps ED as their charity of choice.
Team Be More Pacific are a team of 4 who will be rowing 2,800 miles across the Mid Pacific Ocean in June 2025. This is as part of the World’s Toughest Row. They will row in shifts with at least 2 people powering their boat (Lady Jayne) 24/7!
Where’s the parallel between rowing an ocean and helping people break away from an ED?
Well, First Steps ED use a humanistic therapy amongst many forms of counselling …. and?
This therapy asks the individual to think about their selves and recognise strengths to ultimately make the individual think more positively ….. These are all traits that mid-Pacific Ocean, mid storm, enduring 30 foot waves, Team Be More Pacific will need.
Each team member shall have to find an inner strength, a huge positive outlook and a BIG smile to help us overcome and reach our goal… the finish line. That’s why supporting First Steps ED is special to them.
Their goal is to raise £30,000 for First Steps ED – and you can support them by donating on their Just Giving page.
